Dolphin Research Center offers numerous ways to incorporate marine mammals into your classroom. From an outreach at your school to a weeklong stay in the beautiful Florida Keys, the wonder of marine mammals can enrich your curriculum!Field Trips
We offer a number of great field trip opportunities for you and your students. All of our field trips can be modified to suit groups ranging in age from pre-kindergarten to adult!
Dolphin Discovery
Come spend a couple of hours at DRC learning about marine mammals and their ocean environment. During the field trip your group will:
Take a self guided tour of DRC
Listen to publicly narrated sessions on dolphin biology and conservation, dolphin training, husbandry and medical care, current research and much more!
Engage in a private question and answer session with one of our education staff members.
Cost: $15.00 per person, based on a minimum attendance of 15 people.
*As a part of DRC's educational mission, school groups in Monroe County may participate in Dolphin Discovery free of charge. Teachers are requested to call in advance to arrange their visit. School groups must present documentation of Monroe County status upon arrival.
Dolphin Day Trips
Bring your class to spend a half-day at DRC discovering the amazing capabilities of dolphins! All of our Dolphin Day Trips include a private tour of Dolphin Research Center and time to observe two publicly narrated sessions about our dolphins and/or sea lions. Choose one of the Dolphin Day Trips described below.

Contact the Education Department for information and pricing of add-on programs you wish to include in your Dolphin Day Trip experience.
The Center is open to the public seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern time.
Most offices are closed on weekends; however, our voice mail system will handle calls 24 hours a day.
Hammer's Cafe sells cold drinks, ice cream, and a variety of lunch items and snacks.
Free parking. Bus parking also available on a limited basis.
