Science Outreach
Holoholo Science is a traveling science outreach program that brings exciting, hands-on, standards-based science to your school. Presented by dynamic science educators, the programs encourage inquiry and exploration, and offer the rare chance to handle scientific specimens, cultural artifacts, and state-of-art equipment. Whether you're looking for a program for your class, your school, or your community, Holoholo Science is a valuable educational program.
Cultural Outreach
Ha'i mo'olelo, or storytelling, is the Hawaiian tradition of passing down information from generation to generation. Today, this beautiful tradition continues through Bishop Museum's Cultural & Educational Outreach program, Ola Na Mo'olelo.
These dramatic storytelling presentations, complete with artifacts from the Museum???s collections relevant to the mo'olelo, bring historical people and events from Hawaiian history to life.
From the legacy of the great warrior chief 'Umialiloa in the 15th century to the reign of King Kalakaua who led the islands into modern times, Ola Na Mo'olelo will inspire and enrich the lives of our children.
