Brookfield Zoo has developed many tools to assist educators in sharing information about animals, science, and caring - the things that form the basis of conservation at the zoo and in the wild. We encourage educators to use the information gathered by the zoo to share concepts about data gathering and scientific research, and to use the zoo's charismatic animals to help inspire excitement for learning.Brookfield Zoo is a great location for your class field trip! Free admission is available to Illinois school groups for self-guided field trips (parking and attraction fees still apply), but advance notice is needed. Fear not, we are now offering quick and easy online field trip registration for all school groups.
Make your reservations early - space is limited. For spring trips, please make your reservations two months in advance. For all other seasons, please make your reservations at least two to three weeks in advance. No reservations will be accepted less than two weeks before your requested field-trip date.
Self-guided booklets to enhance your field trips and videotapes to bring the natural world to life are available.
